Field Digger Wasp
Mellinus arvensis
A solitary wasp, the one above is carrying a fly to a nest hole, presumably to lay its egg inside.

The Cuckoo below is the same one that I mentioned yesterday. The light was rubbish and the bird distant so this is heavily cropped and the lighting has been altered (sorry).
As for Bertha; ex Tropical storm Bertha, the remnants hopefully won't cause any damage but they may liven up the coastal birding over the next few days.
... and finally look out for news about George, yes George .. the rocket ;-)
