Video Stars

A collection of video clips take today on a drizzly day at Druridge. Avocets, Redshank and Lapwings seem to be doing well. Oystercatchers in several surrounding fields doing OK too. Hopefully the Lesser Black-backed Gulls don't return to soon for the late arrivals.

The last Avocet chick above hatched only yesterday. It was really interesting to see the parent take the egg shell to the water and when it floated the bird picked it up again and made sure it filled with water and sank. Clever stuff!
