Dirty Snowball


Great day on and off the patch. Firstly a lone Bottlenose Dolphin heading South at Beacon Point. A male Marsh Harrier at Chevington. Another (or the same) Bottlenose Dolphin heading North off the burnmouth. But, before I could scan for more a calling bird landed on the beach in front of me ... yes ... this Snow Bunting.


This bird was exceptionally tame. It fed on seed in amongst the sea coal well down the beach.




Here it just looks like a dirty snowball and at times was hard to pick out.
