New Year's Day
This is always a must for me and my Mum. We do a c3 mile walk around Alnmouth. We look for plants which are still in flower and record them for the BSBI website.
This year we managed 22 species. Fairly modest compared with Southern Britain and Ireland. Sadly I was unable to ID a couple of them as I didn't photos with the relevant clues.
We then rewarded ourselves with a coffee at Illy's in Amble and a wander around the harbour.
