It seems that birds are on the move today. This lovely Whinchat made a brief appearance at Cresswell, Waders were passing through. (Ringed Plover, Common Sandpipers, Bar and Black-tailed Godwits, Whimbrel, Little Ringed Plover and Dunlin.)
The Cattle Egret reappeared but was mostly distant and often out of view. At around 2pm it headed NW and was lost from view.
Finally as I left Druridge after a second visit three Wheatears appeared on the fence line no doubt fresh arrivals. It is all looking good for some rarity 'hunting' over the next few days. It is about time I found something decent ;-)
