This interesting Pipit was on the beach with three Rock Pipits. It was distinctively coloured and reminded me of summer plumage Water Pipit. However when you look at the details it is clearly a Rock Pipit in one of the extreme plumage types.
Here for contrast a weakly marked Water Pipit below contrasting with the Rock Pipit above. Compare the outer tail feathers.
