Gambia (Day 8) 10th December 2014

Flights at 2pm so a leisurely walk around a local wood (Bijolo Forest) and neighbouring hotel grounds. Lots to see and round off the trip relaxed, showered and ready for the six hour cattle class (Thomas Cook) flight. The flight went quite well, however the drive from Manchester home was another story. (Made it safely yet slowly .. which is all that matters!)

Brown Babbler

Tawny-flanked Prinia

Glossy Starling

Greater Blue-eared Glosy Starling

Squacco

BlackKite

Pied Crow

Blue-spotted Wood Dove

Green Vervet Monkey

Thoe damn thorns get everywhere.

Billy No Mates?

Little Bee-eater

Swallow-tailed Bee-eater

Hooded Vulture

Many thanks to Bob Biggs and Steve Taylor for their company and to Tijan and Alex for guiding us to places off the beaten track.

A quick calculation gave a trip list of 214 birds (there could be another 10 to add from birds seen by ony some of the group). I'm not one for lists but I will try and add a spreadsheet in the near future.
