Laughing Dove
Our breakfast visitor at Tendaba Camp
Day 4
Tenaba Camp (airport), Soma, Bateling Track
Breakfast overlooking the river provided good range of birds. Brief glimpses of a falcon made me think of Hobby as it twisted and turned around a pier over the river. (Fortunately two falcons repeated the performance the next morning and revealed the orange underwing confirming they were African Hobby.) A short walk behind the camp gave us our third Owl great views as well.

On to Soma for the Egyptian Plover. Sadly two trips here during the day failed to produce the plover. However a flock of 100+ Colared Pratincoles hawking above
the river were adequate compensation.
