I couldn't believe my luck this morning. Pulled the car into the car park behind the hedge. Got out, closed the door with a thud, walked past the hedge and scanned. Then I noticed the owl just a few metres away. Normally this is when you say; "... and before I could raise the camera, it was off!".
Well it wasn't.
It didn't know I was there. This sequence of photos shows how over five minutes or more it noticed me but totally ignored me. I think it was hungry.
Going, going ... no, something caught its eye but it changed its mind.
