June in the 'clouds'

A bit reluctant to post much more. Got message from ADOBE explaining they would be deleting photos stored in the cloud soon. I didn't even realise I had an account with them. Well I'll wait and see.

22-spot Ladybird

(with 20 spots)

Bee Orchid

Blue-tailed Damselfly

Really should launch into a rant now. Yesterday my day was spoilt by numerous selfish, ignorant and rude people. Thankfully, I kept my calm.

Branched Bur-reed

Broad-bodied Chaser

Common Spotted Orchid

Common Tern.

At Washington WWT, the strategy of keeping the water level high until the terns returned has been successful. Black-headed Gulls are not as common and Terns and Avocets have space to breed. Sadly at Saltholme RSPB it is AI (Bird Flu) which has taken its toll on the BH Gulls.

Common Toad

Four-spotted Chaser

Goat's-beard

Little Ringed Plover

Adult above, Juvenile below.

Moorhen

ex Bee Orchids

Oystecatcher with one of its two young.

Pocket Plums

A gall of Blackthorn caused by the fungus Taphrina pruni. Seems to be very common in South Shields and Whitburn.

Ragged Robin

Reed Warbler

Ruby-tailed Wasp sp?
